Life is busy, and we don’t always have time to add one more thing to the schedule — no matter how important or beneficial it may be. Building and deepening relationships within our church can be a catalyst that helps us connect meaningfully, develop in our identity, and be empowered in our unique role to serve God and people.
In order to make it easier to experience this, we close the doors of our Shine Church building on the last full weekend of each month and meet instead in homes throughout the area. We share a meal, take time to get to know one another, and engage in conversation around God’s Word. In short, we choose to participate in what the early church prioritized in Acts 2:42: All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.
We are seeing and hearing amazing stories of connection, encouragement, and belonging from house churches, and people of all ages and backgrounds are participating. We hope you’ll explore this opportunity, and would love to assist you in finding one that is a good fit!
